Dear Prospective Donor,

Thank you for considering a donation to Lee Mental Health Center!

For 40 years, Lee Mental Health has relied on the passion and generosity of donors to help children, adults, and their families reclaim their lives from mental illnesses and addictions. Like cancer, diabetes, or heart disease, mental illness and addiction knows no bounds. It reaches across age, race, gender, and socioeconomic status. It reaches into our families, workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods.

Mental illnesses and addictions are treatable! With your support, we can put recovery within the reach of more children and adults who turn to our agency for help. In the most recent year, Lee Mental Health served more than 6,500 individuals – our highest demand for emergency and inpatient psychiatric treatment for since 1969 when we first opened our doors.

Your donation will help give children and adults the best treatment opportunities for a successful recovery. Please donate today, securely on-line, by clicking the DONATE ONLINE NOW button. Your gift is fully tax-deductible and you will receive a thank you letter and receipt for your tax purposes.

NEW! Lee Mental Health Center is also able to accept donations of stock. If you would like to donate stock to the Center, please contact us at (239) 791-1575 so we may make the proper arrangements.

Thank you, in advance, for your donation!

ENDOWED & DONOR-ADVISED FUNDS OFFER OTHER WAYS TO GIVE

Among the many endowed and donor-advised funds managed by the Southwest Florida Community Foundation are two specifically established to benefit Lee Mental Health and its programs.

In August 2006, the Jan Eustis Children’s Services Fund was established at the Southwest Florida Community Foundation. This endowed fund was created to support children’s mental heath services and is named in honor of Jan Eustis, former CEO of Lee Mental Health Center.

The Lee Mental Health ASA Endowment Fund was established in 1994. An agency endowment fund is a special type of fund created by non-profits to ensure future sustainability for the organization. This fund is also housed at the Southwest Florida Community Foundation and donors can make contributions to the fund at any time. As the fund grows, Lee Mental Health receives annual distributions to be used for residential treatment for men and women recovering from substance abuse. Distributions may also be returned to the fund for future growth.

Donations to either fund can be mailed to the Southwest Florida Community Foundation, c/o Jan Eustis Children’s Services Fund or the Lee Mental Health ASA Endowment Fund, 8260 College Parkway, Suite 101 , Fort Myers , Florida , 33919 . You may make an online credit card donation at www.floridacommunity.com or by calling (239) 274-5900. Gifts are tax-deductible.

Lee Mental Health is a United Way Partner Agency funded, in part, through contracts with the State of Florida's Department of Children and Families, the Lee County Board of Commissioners, private donations and grants received from the Southwest Florida Community Foundation, Cape Coral Community Foundation, The Able Trust, the Gannett Foundation and the City of Ft. Myers. Lee Mental Health is a private, non-profit 501(c) charity.
