CANDIDATES FORUM

A big THANK YOU to those who came out to the Candidates Forum, organized by Lee Mental Health and SWFAS, held on August 3rd at the Alliance for the Arts! For those who were there, you would agree it was a worthwhile and very informative event. More than180 people in the Foulds Theater heard from 22 candidates for Florida Senate, House and Lee County Commission answer questions and speak specifically about funding and support for substance abuse and mental healthcare services.


GRANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Lee Mental Health was recently awarded a grant by the Southwest Florida Community Foundation to pilot a Telemedicine project in partnership with Southwest Florida Addiction Services, Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida and Hendry/Glades Behavioral Healthcare.

Lee Mental Health is a United Way Partner Agency funded, in part, through contracts with the State of Florida's Department of Children and Families, the Lee County Board of Commissioners, private donations and grants received from the Southwest Florida Community Foundation, Cape Coral Community Foundation, The Able Trust, the Gannett Foundation and the City of Ft. Myers. Lee Mental Health is a private, non-profit 501(c) charity.
