Our Community-Based services provides coordination and linkage to needed community resources as well as Lee Mental Health services provided in the home and community settings.

Resource Coordination

Adult Resource Coordination provides coordination and linking to needed community resources and services, as well as advocacy services at the main campus, in the home, and in community settings.

Diversion Program

Lee Mental Health’s Diversion Program is intended to divert individuals with serious mental illnesses (including persons with co-occurring substance abuse disorders) from unnecessary institutionalization and/or criminalization.  This program is for individuals with criminal charges in which a severe and persistent mental illness may complicate the legal proceedings.

Supported Employment Services

Supported Employment Services provide assistance to individuals in obtaining and maintaining stable employment within the community. Assistance includes but is not limited to individualized job development, resume writing, interviewing skills, communication skills, basic living skills, advocacy, on site support, training and linkage to other needed services.  Supported Employment provides assistance to local businesses, education of ADA guidelines, recruitment and retention and education on tax incentives and links consumers to Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. 

To be eligible for Supported Employment you must be over 18 years of age, have the desire to return to work, and diagnosed with mental health related disorder (ADD, Bi-Polar, Schizophrenia, and/or Depression).  Supported Employment operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Please call (239) 275-3222 ext. 1520 or 791-1520 for further information.

Supported Living

Our Supported Living program provides Psychosocial Rehabilitation to individuals with severe and persistent mental health disorders.  To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years of age and be receiving services from Lee Mental Health’s Resource Coordination.

Warm Line

Warm Line is a phone line staffed with trained consumers that provide support, as well as provide practical assistance in problem-solving and accessing community resources.  Please call (239) 694-6503 for further information Monday through Friday from 2 – 6 p.m.

Recovery Team

Lee Mental Health’s Recovery Team provides training and education to enable adults with a diagnosis of Schizophrenia or Mood Disorder to function more independently in the community.  Supports individuals in obtaining meaningful life roles such as employee, student, or creating a new life in sobriety.   These services are available at the Ruth Cooper Center campus.

Lehigh United Way House

Lee Mental Health Center in partnership with the United Way of Lee County provides information, referral and follow-up for anyone seeking social services in the Lehigh Acres community.  The Lehigh United Way House (LUWH) partners with numerous agencies to provide services directly from the Lehigh United Way House.  LUWH offers numerous opportunities for empowering activities assisting in the development of the program, including volunteering at the House, participating in the Resident Advisory Council and other committees.
